Pink Cube Gallery – River of Art Luminous 2023

The River of Art’s Pink Cube Gallery is a distinctive, hot pink, moveable exhibition space housed within a converted shipping container. As part of the 2023 River of Art Festival, the Cube featured as part of Luminous: Celebrating Place—a night of light installations and performances marking the festival’s finale.

As guest artist, I transformed the Pink Cube into a small temple for the daytime sky. The installation combined a video projection, cyanotype photographs, and an atmospheric soundscape, turning images of the sky into palaces of light and form.

These formations are an ever-evolving flow, a constant becoming that mirrors the nature of reality when seen from eternity’s perspective. Even a mountain flows like a cloud when witnessed across deep time.

The soundscape, composed by Jamie Saxe, created a meditative atmosphere in which audiences could pause, make an offering, say a prayer, and touch the eternal within.
